I was surprised when I heard disposable baby diapers are shortage of stock in Japan. This is because diapers made in Japan is recently popular, and they are buying up Japanese diapers. Especially, Merries from KAO is best-seller. It is of course high quality, and superior in well-breathable. This popularity is great for the company, however, Japanese mothers are bothered about it because Chinese people buy up dozen of case directly from stores in Japan, and sell them in China. So why are they particular about Japanese products? One of the reasons is, Japan has strict quality standard. So every company needs to repeat product tests to be accepted by Japanese consumers.
I am glad Japanese products are trusted as high quality from any countries.
