The source of my power

Blog2Breakfast is the source of my power. When I was in Boston I got up early morning, washed my face then went to the cafeteria, but I was always still sleepy. I take some food from the platter to my plate. I always pick up almost the same foods like scramble eggs, hash browns and rice. These are simple, just put these foods on my plate then I sprinkle a dried seasoning called “Noritama”. The taste is very Japanese and a little sweet, then I mix with dried seaweed and eggs. “Noritama” is very important for me. I can’t start the day without Noritama. A dried seasoning reminds me of Japanese breakfast. We usually eat baked eggs, rice, miso soup and some side dishes. When I lived in japan, I often eat rice balls. My mother often made many kinds of rice ball for me. It is easy to make, anybody can make it and the taste is good. My mother makes rice balls of Noritama when she doesn’t have enough time in the morning because it is really easy. It was very simple but it is one of my nostalgic foods.

Dried seasonings have many kinds of taste in japan but Noritama is the most popular, especially for kids I think. I have two nephews; they are three years old and two years old. They love Noritama rice balls. I love them too. I remember when Noritama appeared in Showa’s cafeteria, I was really glad I could have this taste. I also put ketchup on the scramble eggs and hash browns. These foods make me get high tension and help wake my brain up in the morning.

Breakfast is important for us, it gives us power every day. When I was a student of middle school and high school, I often skipped breakfast because I was a sleepyhead, I didn’t have time, then my brain didn’t work in the morning when I hadn’t had breakfast. It is now too. I usually didn’t have breakfast a few years ago but when I was in Boston I changed my style for school life. After I changed my breakfast style, my health was changed. Also, after I changed my style I got into the habit of waking up early. Then I can use the time for other things in the morning. It was “truly a case of killing two birds with one stone.”

Breakfast makes it more difficult for our body to gain weight and keeps a good health balance. Most Japanese girls are always thinking about losing weight. I do too. If people don’t eat three meals, the body will be losing balance, making it easy to gain weight or have an unhealthy body. That’s why breakfast is the source of my power, it is better for our brain, health and life.
