I think a tornado is not familiar for Japanese, so most Japanese don’t know what we should do when Tornado is coming (See video news clip of Oklahoma.
I’m going to tell you about how to protect yourself from Tornado.
13 minutes are the average time that you will get when Tornado is coming. One of the best place to go is basement. However I think not many houses which have basement in Japan. In that case, closet is the other safety place in your house.
The worst thing to do is using a car to escape from Tornado because you don’t have time to do that.
If big Tornado happens in Japan, please go to the closet or ‘Oshiire’ in your house.
Within the grounds that University of Washington is standing on, a beautiful library which is called “Suzzallo Liblary” is there. The study area Suzzallo Library has has a relaxed atmosphere and always many students are doing their work or reading books. This library is the most beautiful library I have ever seen. I often studied and liked to be there a lot. The atmosphere of this library is like the world of Harry Potter. If you have chance to go to seattle in the future, this is a place I’d like to recomend you to visit once.
Hello, everone. Today I have an topic which I have really wanted to share. I think I have to ask you one question before I start writing this blog. Have you ever heard “Ballroom dance”? You might imagine it’s like a movie “Shall we dance?” which was came out a while ago in Japan. I can say yes, you’re right. You might also imagine people are beautifully dressed up and dance slowly. But do you know that there are actually ballroom competitions? It’s not only for fun and elder people. It’s defined and recognized as an international sport in the world.
I have totally into it since I’ve belonged to ballroomdance club at university. There are actually 2 kinds of dancing. These ae called Standard and Latin ( I majored in Latin.) Initially, I just wanted to work out and try on elegant dresses. But now it’s definately a part of my life and I need it in my life! So, I want you to know about what made me fascinated.
First, let me tell you about Standard. It originaly comes from the UK and it’s said that it was loved by noble men in medieval Europe. Women are usually in long dress and men are in tuxedo. I guess you can easily imagine that it’s like Disney princess. Standard has 4 different type of dance, Walz, Tango, Slow fox, and Quick step.
The other is Latin. It’s kind of mixed up of dance in Latin America ( Things like Salsa, Bachata and even Flamenco.). Lik I said before it’s extremely energetic. It’s also has 4 kinds of dance, Chachacha, Samba, Rumba and Paso doble. The interesting thing is Latin basically express “Love”. For example, Rumba is called “The theme of love”. A male dancer sometimes hold their partner. Paso doble is an image of a bullfighter and his red kilt. Women are suppose to be a red kilt or bull. Sometimes you can see flamenco steps.
These are basic information about ballroom dance. If you have an any opportunity to try this, please do it! I guarantee it worth trying it. This video will give you a great excitement. Check it out!

I miss Chipotle a lot. Chipotle is a popular fast food restaurant in the US. They sell burritos. Burritos are so good! Burritos contain beans, rice, vegetables and meat. When I tried a burrito for the first time in the US, I thought it was close to Japanese food. Burritos are not junk food. I wanted Chipolte to open up a shop in Japan, but recently a similar chain has appeared in Tokyo. It is not called Chipolte but it is very similar. They even have the same drinks! The chain is called Frijoles and they have shops in Roppongi, Azabu and Akasaka. It is my favorite restaurant in Japan!!!!
It was my first time to go theaters to watch the same movie many times…
Actually I’ve watched the movie, “Les Miserables”, twice in Boston and once in Japan! I’m a such a person rarely cry if I watch sad movies, but I cried each time…
The movie is a full of sad short stories and a musical movie. At first, I was worried about my listening skill because I watched the movie in English without subtitles and it’s a long movie. However, it was too amazing to sleep and lose my powers of concentrations!
You know, “A dream I dreamed” is a very famous song that Suzan Boyle sang at Britain’s “Got Talent 2009″ and got extreme reputations!! At the movie, Anne Hathaway sang it. Actually I had gooseflesh..!!
I felt Eponine is the most pitiful character in this movie… She didn’t do anything bad, but the reality was very cruel for her…..
I love Jovert’s voice!! He also is one of pitiful people who couldn’t avoid a cruel destiny….
I can say ” Just watch it!!” and
“Go to “TSUTAYA” as soon as possible if the DVD releases!!”
